Responsibilities:
Operations Management
Lead overall manufacturing and operational functions to ensure smooth factory performance and consistent achievement of production targets within cost, time, and quality norms.
Oversee daily operations across all departments including Human Resources, Production, Quality, Maintenance, Utilities, and Merchandising to ensure alignment and efficiency.
Coordinate closely with the Merchandising team to prepare and execute production plans that deliver On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance.
Production Planning & Execution
Ensure timely availability of raw materials, trims, and accessories for production and minimize last-minute deviations.
Oversee all stages of production including cutting, sewing, and packing, achieving targeted line efficiency and output levels.
Monitor product quality to meet buyer standards and ensure a consistently high final inspection pass rate.
Process Optimization & Cost Efficiency
Provide manufacturing expertise to implement process improvements and cost reduction initiatives across the production chain.
Ensure proper upkeep of machinery and manufacturing facilities, meeting utilization and efficiency benchmarks using Industrial Engineering (IE) techniques.
Lead initiatives in automation, system upgrades, and lean manufacturing to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
People Leadership & Development
Oversee training and development programs across all levels—workers, supervisors, and managers—leveraging both internal and external resources.
Promote strong employee relations and optimal manpower utilization through effective communication, engagement, and performance monitoring.
Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across teams.
Compliance, Reporting & Governance
Ensure 100% compliance with buyer, safety, and quality standards, maintaining accurate documentation on a day-to-day basis.
Oversee material realization and yield to ensure adherence to standard norms.
Monitor and control Stores and Material Management functions to minimize wastage and optimize inventory levels.
Ensure effective factory housekeeping and workplace organization across all departments.
Provide timely and accurate Management Information Reports (daily, weekly, monthly) to leadership for review and decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 15 to 20 Years in any garments Industry out of which at least 5 years at a leadership position in overall control of management and operations.
- Education: Bachelor in Textiles, Any Degree with MBA from reputed university with strong credentials.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and relationship management skills. Exposure to IE will be an added advantage and backed by ERP driven systems and hands on.
