Chief Operating Officer (COO) | Engineered Product Manufacturing | India

We are hiring for one of the leading engineered product manufacturing organizations with a strong presence across design, process equipment, and composite manufacturing.

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving operational excellence across projects, engineering, and design. The role demands a leader who combines strategic vision with deep technical expertise to ensure seamless execution, innovation in engineering, and sustained organizational growth.

You will oversee end-to-end operations — from project management and production to supply chain, quality, and safety — fostering collaboration across departments to deliver world-class outcomes in efficiency, innovation, and profitability.

Responsibilities:

Project Management & Execution

  • Provide strategic oversight to project management teams to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards.

  • Collaborate with project leaders to define project objectives, milestones, and resource allocation plans.

  • Drive adoption of project management best practices, tools, and performance metrics to improve delivery timelines and minimize risk.

Engineering & Design Excellence

  • Partner with engineering and design teams to promote innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement in product and process development.

  • Ensure all engineering practices comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.

  • Champion the use of advanced materials, technologies, and design methodologies to improve performance, cost efficiency, and competitiveness.

Operational Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional departments including production, supply chain, quality assurance, and logistics, ensuring alignment and seamless integration.

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s vision and long-term goals.

  • Monitor key operational KPIs, analyze performance data, and implement corrective measures to improve productivity and cost efficiency.

Financial Management

  • Collaborate with department heads to define financial goals, budgets, and forecasts in support of strategic growth.

  • Monitor operational costs, analyze variances, and make data-driven decisions to achieve financial and operational targets.

Talent Management & Team Development

  • Build and nurture a high-performing team across engineering, operations, and support functions.

  • Foster a culture of learning, accountability, and collaboration, empowering employees to innovate and excel.

  • Lead talent development initiatives, mentoring future leaders within the organization.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure 100% compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations in manufacturing and operational processes.

  • Oversee implementation of safety protocols and promote a culture of safety awareness across all teams.

  • Partner with the executive leadership to define and execute the organization’s long-term growth and sustainability strategy.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from a reputed institution.
  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from a recognized institute.
  • 20+ years of overall experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role within engineered product, EPC, or process equipment manufacturing organizations.
  • Strong techno-commercial orientation with analytical and decision-making acumen.
  • Adaptability to lead through change, transformation, and growth.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High standards of integrity, collaboration, and accountability.
