Our client is a premier AI Research & Innovation Centre building a lab-to-market pipeline anchored in proprietary research, patents, and startup incubation. They are hiring a Chief Architect – AI Factory & Generative AI to define the architectural framework of their AI Makerspace CoE.
Role
A senior strategic and technical leader who will define a 3-year roadmap for Generative AI, lead development of proprietary fine-tuning and RAG architectures, drive ‘AI + X’ interdisciplinary projects, and oversee high-performance GPU supercomputing infrastructure. The role carries a clear commercialisation mandate: enterprise contracts, patent filings (minimum 5/year), and startup incubation.
Responsibilities:
- Define the 3-year growth strategy positioning the AI Factory as a leader in Generative AI, Robotics, and Spatial Computing.
- Lead proprietary fine-tuning and RAG architecture development for specialised sectors and regional languages
- Oversee transition of prototypes into scalable Model-as-a-Service platforms
- Lead design of an MLOps ecosystem supporting rapid model training, evaluation, and deployment
Secure enterprise contracts, file patents, and incubate AI startups
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Master’s in Computer Science, AI, or Data Science
- 18+ years in AI/ML engineering and systems design; 4+ years as Principal or Chief Architect
- Deep proficiency in PyTorch/TensorFlow, LLM fine-tuning, RAG, and cloud-native ML platforms (SageMaker, Azure ML, Vertex AI)
- Published research in top-tier venues (NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR) preferred
